I started providing online sessions a couple years ago for a client who had moved out of the area but who wanted to continue doing work together.
Soon after, I was approached by two new clients, one who lived with disabilities which made it difficult to leave the house, and another who was a single parent who worked from home.
For both of these clients, video sessions were a great fit and enabled us to do consistent regular work together.
Since then, I have moved into exclusively online work.
I get some strange looks at parties when folks ask me what I do for money, and I answer that I'm a body-based healer who currently sees clients over online video and phone sessions.
When I first started doing online work, I was worried that it would feel impersonal or disconnected, that zeroing in on the body and doing kinesthetic practices would be impossible, and that online work would mean I wasn't providing the best healing work to my clients.
Boy was I wrong.
For many people, online sessions are actually more supportive of them and the nitty gritty of their lives than in person sessions ever could be.
My work is now accessible to individuals, couples and small groups, regardless of geographic location.
I have found that online sessions can totally support the body and the kinesthetic work that is the backbone of my practice.
Our client-healer relationship and the trajectory of your healing are much less impacted by major changes in my life -- say a long-distance move or an extended travel -- when we do online work together.
When clients can choose where they want to do their sessions from, intimacy, connection, and their ability to 'show up and go deep' greatly benefit.
There are so many advantages to online healing, and I'm excited to be offering it!
How It Works
Initially, I have a free 20-minute consult call with interested parties. We will have an opportunity to get to know each other, ask questions and assess if we are a good fit.
Then most clients book a regular weekly or bi-monthly session for us to meet. The online scheduler I use is great because in addition to emailing you a confirmation of our session, it can send out email or text reminders to you directly 24 hours before our scheduled session.
Once we confirm our sessions, I'll also send you a special URL that you will use every time we have a session. Zoom is a simple, HIPAA-compliant online video tool that most of my clients use for their sessions. A few moments before you session, you'll simply click the link and wait until I begin the session.
I am also available for phone sessions by request (or if the video technology isn't working for whatever reason). However, if possible I encourage clients to use video since it generally better supports our relationship and practices together.
