Social Context.

Social context--the beliefs, practices, norms and institutions that surround us-- is part of all the work we do and all the ways we show up in the world. We embody it. It molds our personal beliefs and actions and informs our range of emotions.

Often in our lives and our communities we are shaped by social context.  In somatics, we want to embody our vision, resource our sensations, and heal our trauma, so that we can shape social context and build a world that holds liberation and justice at its center.  Our individual transformation is fused with societal transformation.
